The Rockcastle
County Emergency Management Agency is responsible for
the coordination of emergency services in the event of
an emergency situation. The EMA is also responsible for
coordinating the Chemical Stockpile Emergency
Preparedness Program with the Department of Defense and
the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
All Americans Should:
Establish a family disaster plan;
Assemble a disaster supply kit; and
Understand your risks;
Government agencies should consider the following
general measures in addition to the Protective Measures
that they will develop and implement:
Increasing surveillance of critical locations;
Coordinating emergency plans as appropriate with nearby
jurisdictions;
Assessing whether the precise characteristics of the
threat require the further refinement of preplanned
Protective Measures; and
Implementing, as appropriate, contingency and emergency
response plans.
